“ I had my first experience at TUGBOAT in Lincoln a few weeks ago. I was having a truly rough day. I was passing through Lincoln and suddenly realized I hadn't eaten and was really hungry. I'm not from Lincoln and had never eaten at Tugboat but I decided to go ahead and give it a try. I was greeted warmly by a very kind young man. And found a table near the window. I realized they were playing very inspirational music that immediately improved my mood. And I ordered Fish N Chips and they were cooked to perfection. The wait was short and my order was served piping hot. The restaurant was very clean, Staff were polite and the ambiance was friendly. Today I was in Lincoln for an appointment and my son was with me. We had a very similar experience to the one I had a few weeks ago. I had the California roll Sushi and my son had Fish and Chips. Again prepared to perfection. Ample servings and an awesome price. Amazing lady who was our server. If I could give more than five stars I would! I SO WISH THERE WAS ONE IN LOOMIS OR NEWCASTLE - hint hint ! ”

“ We recently ordered dinner from Tugboat Fish and Chips. It had been a while since I had eaten their food. I have always had positive experiences in the past. This time lived up to my expectations. Our meal consisted of * Cab Cake * Rainbow Role (Crabmeat, Avocado supported by a variety of Fish) * O.M.G. Role (Crabmeat, Tuna, Salmon, Albacore & Cucumber) * Clam Strips * Prawns Every think was good. I practically enjoyed the O.M.G. Roll. The food was well packaged for takeout. ”

“ Wow, what a neat surprise right here in downtown Lincoln. Must've passed them at least 100 times and never gone in well today. We had lunch there. The fish and chips was a very large portion at a very reasonable price. Cooked perfectly, very crispy and tasty. Might want to ask for the fries to be well done but other than that, it was a five star lunch. We ordered the potstickers they were OK no complaints. We will have to add this to our lunch rotation great and super nice people. ”

“ Stopped by Tugboat based on Yelp reviews. Ordered the sampler To Go. While waiting, the place looks nice inside. Illuminated menus and a sushi cooler display. They had some specials for lunch too. Got my order in a brown paper bag. Came with ketchup and Tartar sauce but no malt vinegar. Also, no napkins. Typical fish and chips. Krinkle cut fries. Fish batter was not light not heavy. Kinda medium-heavy. Fish was thin but cooked well - moist inside. Scallops were delicious Prawns were ok but a little anemic Oyster batter was cook quite a lot more (see color difference in photo). Appropriate amount of salt on the order to enhance flavor. No alcohol sales. I'd say Tugboat is between a 3 and 4 star. 4 stars given. ”

“ Wow! Very nice people run this little restaurant. The fish and chips are good. Their tartar sauce and ranch are also very good. We saw the great ratings on Yelp and decided we had to give tugboat a try. I'm glad we did. I ordered the lunch special; 1 fish, 3 onion rings, 3 lumpia, 3 zucchini, fries, and a canned drink for $10.99, my wife ordered the same, except she got 3 potstickers instead of lumpia. Lastly, we tried one sushi roll, California special, which turned out to be really good. This spot has been here for over 20 years, and this is our first time visiting. It's decorated and arranged nicely, and everybody from the staff people to the customers seem to be happy! Nice place for lunch, for sure! I'm sure we'll be back. ”

“ We were thinking of going to Thunder Valley, but glad we decided to try this place. They have a fish and chips menu, and a sushi menu. They also have a lunch special on the menu...but maybe next time. I ordered the fish and chicken. Everything was nice and crispy and the tartar sauce was so good. We also ordered a few sushi rolls to go too. We got to see them make the sushi fresh. I like how they didn't put too much rice in the Cali roll. After a short wait, they brought out our order with a box with the carry out boxes and paper bags/tray for the fish and chips, and included chop sticks and sauces. My new favorite spot in Lincoln! We will definitely be back. ”

“ Super surprised about this place! Found this at Yelp on our way home to Roseville and just decided to give it a try... didn't disappoint! We ordered the fish and prawns, fish n chicken, cal roll and the popcorn lobster and all was so fresh and delicious.. the tartar sauce all good! Seems that this place is run by a Korean family. This place offers fish and chips one side and maki/sushi rolls on the other menu. Sounds like a weird combination but I am happy that they have it cuz all was so good and fresh! (I was a little hesitate when I saw their fish display ) . They put almost a whole avocado on the popcorn lobster roll! Is like nowadays everywhere is so cheap on their avocados but not here! The owner/cashier was super nice. We will definitely coming back if we are in the area. ”

“ I had a better experience than I did years ago. My man and I came in here for my craving and Tugboat Fish & Chips was the place to go. It was an hour before closing and it looked like we had missed the rush. We were able to order right away at the register. We got a 2 piece fish & chips and prawn & chips. As we made our way to an open table, we sat and waited about 10 minutes for our food to arrive. They also brought ketchup, cocktail sauce and their infamous tarter sauce that I've never tasted anywhere else but at Tugboats! I did notice the fish was pretty thin. Over the years, it seems like the pieces got smaller. It's about 50/50 fish to batter... it still had that delicious taste of Tugboat, but with less fish than in the past. I like that they serve their meals with a few crispy onion rings and crinkle fries. They make everything to order!! I like the ocean theme they have going on inside Tugboat. There was music playing as we ate. They also offer a small variety of sushi. I haven't tried it yet, but next time, I plan on it. Thank you for a delicious dinner!! ”
